New-hire onboarding kit

A printable two-QR sheet to hand to (or post for) new employees. Each new hire follows two steps: install the app, then scan their tenant code to activate Talking Unicorn inside. Same paper, every new hire.

Step 1

Install the Talking Unicorn app

Open your phone's camera and point it at this code. Tap the link that appears.

  • iPhone: open in Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen.
  • Android: open in Chrome, tap ⋮ → Install app.
Step 2

Activate Talking Unicorn

After you've installed the app, open it and scan this second code. It tells the app you're with Talking Unicorn and pre-fills your work email.

  • Sign in with the password your manager gave you.
  • Change your password under Settings → Account.

How this works

The QR codes encode your tenant's domain (...), so when a new employee scans Step 2 they end up at your inbox — branded with your logo, your colors, and your name — not the generic Talking Unicorn one.

Currently Step 1 installs the Progressive Web App (no App Store needed — your inbox already works like a native app once it's on the home screen). When our native iOS/Android app ships, Step 1 will switch to point at the App Store and Play Store. Your printed sheets won't need to be reprinted — Step 2 stays valid, the native app reads the same QR.
